How is your Expression Number calculated? Each letter in your full name at birth is assigned a numerical value based on its position in the alphabet (A=1, B=2, C=3, and so on up to Z=26).
To calculate your Expression Number, you convert each letter of your name into its corresponding number, then add these numbers together.
If the resulting sum is a double-digit number, you reduce it by adding the digits together until you reach a single-digit number (except for master numbers 11, 22, and 33, which are not reduced).
For example, let’s calculate the Expression Number for the name “John Doe”:
- J = 1, O = 6, H = 8, N = 5
- D = 4, O = 6, E = 5
Adding these values together: 1 + 6 + 8 + 5 + 4 + 6 + 5 = 35 Next, reduce 35 by adding the digits: 3 + 5 = 8
